Summer School | Gabriela Niko

An intensive course for everyone: curious in search of new creative stimuli, emerging illustrators or professionals, a truly unmissable opportunity to increase their knowledge thanks to creative exchange and full immersion design.

Anger, fear, disgust, surprise, happiness and sadness. According to scholars it is the six primary emotions of man, which correspond to as many expressions typical of the face. Recently the list has expanded thanks to the concept of micro-expression, adding to the scorn list. We have 46 facial muscles that are sufficient to express an infinite range of emotions and expressions (about 10,000)

Gabriela will hold a workshop focused on emotions and the ability to portray them. Participants will explore the topic not only through simple portraits, but also through a variety of creative metaphors and symbols.
Each participant will choose an emotion and translate it into an illustration. Gabriela will guide them through exercises to understand and visualize the idea, with demonstrations and practice using traditional and digital media. By the end of the workshop, each participant will have created a powerful artwork that conveys their chosen emotion.
